I think for "Right to Try" to kick in, a drug must at least have passed an early phase of a (human) clinical trial. Also, only certain states have "Right to Try."
I guarantee that someone who works for the drug manufacturer knows exactly why the drug has not been approved for this use.

I know, thats kind of the point. If 100% of people that have been exposed to a certain dose have died then you cant kill me twice as dead. There is really no downside to letting people try.
Probably. My guess is that the answer is too cheap and not patentable.
