“None of this would be happening if the federal fascists didn’t “mandate” (mandate is a law that was not lawfully passed by an elected legislature) these idiot devices to begin with.”

If you’re a child of the 60s then you grew up before there were catalytic converters, and you likely remember the smells back then. I sure do.

As to the problem, it’s already a FEDERAL FELONY to tamper with pollution control equipment on a car - so why not apply it to these people, as most owners are forced to put in a ‘bypass pipe’ until they finally find a replacement.

The feds, if they wanted to, could stop this crime wave overnight - just pull a few of the thousands of agents who keeping hunting for non-existent ‘white supremacists’ or are assigned to sites like this to shill for Ukraine.

For sure - had the experience of finding myself behind a '66 Mercury station wagon a year ago, and the smell triggered a huge flashback of nostalgia.

Wouldn't doubt a LOT of cancers were caused by that blue haze.

Not sure that is allowed, particularly in CA. Earlier there was a story about people being without a car because of a shortage of replacement converters especially Priuses.
