I had a gig at a HBCU. The admins and faculty were fine people, at least to me. If someone looked at the college leadership page, they’d say I was the token white person. I was sorry to leave, but didn’t want to relocate. The college was about 94% black.

A friend got her masters at a HBUC. Since she was white, the HBUC offered her a scholorship to increase their diversity numbers. She refused the scholorship. Many blacks were upset that she was offered a scholorship because she was white.
