Whoever posted that there aren't badgers in Texas probably lives in downtown Houston.

Looks to me like that covers the Rio Grande Valley to me but I live in CO so ...

" Whoever posted that there aren't badgers in Texas probably lives in downtown Houston. "

According to NYP,
Bill Marrs said "Pregnant badger!"
David Petitt said "We don't have badgers in Texas."
(One in Abilene, Del Rio, and Crandall. David Petitt-Homme does live in Houston. Im just not motivated to drive down there to check which one.)

I said that it must have not read that book. Animals generally arent real well educated on such things and dont seem to ever look at the maps that wildlife biologists prepare for them to know where they are allowed to live. Sometimes they dont even seem to know what they are supposed to eat.

When my grandma had to go out at night she took a double barreled 16 gauge
(a gun Ive been told doesnt exist)
because in the peach orchard
(a tree that "everyone knows" wont grow here)
is where the mountain lions
(an animal that was exterminated according to DNR)
used to hunt.

Here were some that didnt even know enough to question their existence.

Illiterate wildlife! Exactly why government shouldnt be in charge of education.
