This is the horrifying moment a 15-year-old high school student punched a teacher in the head while demanding to get his cell phone.

Footage circulating Twitter shows the student standing intimidatingly close to the shorter educator repeatedly asking for his '******* phone' before swinging his fist into the teacher's face.

Lamar High School in Houston sent a letter to families with principal Rita Graves saying that this type of behavior won't be tolerated and that administrators were looking at ways to prevent this happening again.

Neither student or teacher have been publicly identified at this time.

In the clip a student repeatedly says 'give me my ******* phone back' the teacher calmly asking the student to 'sit down.'

'Give me my phone,' the student his heard saying yet again and appearing exasperated.

The student is then seen leaning back and punching the teacher square in the face as a bystander who is out of frame screams in disbelief.

The person filming is seen quickly ending the recording as the savage attack takes place.

DailyMail.com has contacted students, parents and Lamar High School's principal Graves for comment.

Speaking to KHOU 11 Texas branch of the American Federation of Teachers (AFT), the second largest teacher's labor union in America, said the kid has made a 'huge mistake.'

Should read

"...this type of behavior won't be tolerated and that administrators were looking at aggressive ways to make sure this never happens including use of lethal force" .

Sure makes me glad I retired from teaching when I did.

This is what a collapsing society that has embraced Satanism looks like. It’s not race. This doesn’t happen in African countries.

Teach prolly stole it from the student to sell on the street. Pay for teach is so bad, has to make bread by whatever means necessary.

Some years back a friend (who was teaching in a portable) had a scary situation and pressed 'the panic' button.

No one came.

She was OK and defused that situation but was forever scared by the betrayal. She's a principal now and that situation NEVER happens at her school. She's got her teacher's backs.

Something is very wrong when schools go from 'the biggest problem is kids chewing gum in class' (1950's) to 'teachers being murdered or beaten to the point of brain damage'... (like now).

Also, when I was young on 'gun club day' kids would bring their guns to school and put them in their lockers - no one had locks on their lockers either because we didn't steal from each other...No one was shot, no one was murdered or beat up. In the 60's kids started putting locks on their lockers... that was the beginning of the horrors to come. '

Teacher must learn to keep a chair between himself and a larger, heavier, stronger pupil, and not get into a power struggle, but find ways to change the kid’s focus.

I’m guessing this punk doesn’t know who his father is.
Maybe his mother doesn’t know either.

Speaking of Alaska, there was a case involving two native youths on trial within their tribe. They were given knives and taken to an island in the Aleutian chain to live in isolation for a year.

Never heard about the outcome of that one....

Just throw away the key now and save society the wake of horror which will follow him until he’s finally locked up.

It’s easier, and safer working with convicted felons behind the walls of a prison, than it is being a police officer on the street, or a teacher/teaching assistant in today’s schools.

Distressing behavior toward educators ‘common’ says teacher’s union.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
That’s because the leadership of the PTAs and the Unions are COMPLICIT in supporting policies and guidelines that are as IGNORANT as they are. Two treacherous organizations that should be put out of business asap in the interests of the students!

"My teachers were all “greatest generation.” Many of them were WW2 vets. These are the types of teachers we need now."

Same here. My 6th Grade teacher was a male...only male teacher in my school. He had been stationed in Japan, and was teaching us some common Japanese terms, and characters. I can still recall some of them to this day. My 8th Grade social studies teacher was a veteran of the Korean War. I'm sure there were plenty more vets, but they didn't talk about their experiences. I lived in Rochester, New York. One year...around 1963-64, I had the actor Robert Forster subbing in my study hall. He'd gone to my school, Madison High, and graduated in 1959. I'm sure both my sister's knew him as one graduated in 1958, and the other in 1960. They are both gone, and I'm sorry now that I never thought to ask them.
