“I’m confused about coins being filled, or less than a troy ounce, or too valuable for a loaf of bread, or finding a hidey hole, or Who’s going to give me change?”

We purchase silver...at $25.00 it’s easy to buy small items (not that we spend it - we accumulate it).

I’m not concerned that it is filled with ‘crap’ — we also purchase from a local dealer who has been at the same location for 30+ years...

The premium per ounce has fluctuated quite a bit in the last year: from $3.00 per oz. to $5.00 per oz.

Perhaps this helps?

Yes, thank you. Apparently it is silver that is the better way for common trade. And, bread at $25 is conceivable.
