I respectfully disagree back at you (I think).;-)

If you are saying that we have a functioning, true believing Christian church (collectively) in this country, I think you are (mostly) incorrect.

I think the churches have gone Woke too. And the ones that haven't gone Woke are filled with people who don't want to rock the boat.

Have I misunderstood your point?

I think the churches have gone Woke too. And the ones that haven't gone Woke are filled with people who don't want to rock the boat.

For starters, the woke "churches" (I'm using that term loosely) are hemorrhaging members. People are either leaving those churches and joining Bible believing churches, or, in the case of Methodists, entire local churches are leaving the denomination and joining a Bible believing denomination. There may not be a single organized Protestant church (IMHO that's a good thing, I'd rather them be split up as a kind of check-and-balance against each other). But church membership in real churches is growing. I go to a majority black church that was started by whites (the overseers) in a low income black area to give blacks an alternative to the race-bating black churches they were attending. Many of us travel across town to attend this church, including middle-income blacks who've been Christians for years and looking for a church in need where they can make a difference. My pastor is black as are most of the staff. And we all love Jesus and hate the race-bating the Dims do. It's in a low income area and is growing, so every now and then one of the new members of our church is still full of Dim lies about race. Before I have a chance to respond there's always at least one of my black pals who interjects and shouts him down, saying our church has no place for that kind of racial hate. This happens a lot on Saturdays when we go out into the community. Now the locals who've been in the church a while are the ones to shout down the race baiters, even though they live in the area and know the people they're shouting down while they advocate loving everybody, including whites.

In the political race riots of 2020 many people came to me and told me, "George Floyd ain't my hero. Jesus is." I wish I had a dollar for every person in church who told me they no longer believe the race baiting lies they see in politics. Our pastor every now and then talks about being pro-life and not giving in to the teachings of bitterness on the news or sexual promiscuity. Though he doesn't mention that stuff often because the focus is on sticking to Jesus and loving people and living holy lives in general. And our church is growing. We had 1,126 people come to Christ last year. My financial small group now has less people asking how to lie on forms for the government handouts, and more people seeking wisdom in sound financial habits for them and their families.
