Years ago, when we were homeschooling our kids, we became friends with the local Assembly of God preacher as they were homeschooling their kids of similar age.
We got on the topic of alcohol one day, and he said recently he had done a survey of the males in his flock on what they considered normal consumption.
A six pack a night on weekdays and a 24 pack on a weekend was considered normal by some, and not much less by the rest. Almost all Budweiser.
There is a huge Bud brewery in Merrimack, NH, in the south. Coos county, the northernmost is large in area, small in people. There is a very large Bud distribution center to keep the stuff flowing.
We wondered if that was what the Bible thumpers (and these are serious ones, church during the week and weekends) were drinking, what are the heathens drinking?
I drink mich ultra. It’s low carb. LOL. But usually vodka and green tea (crystal light).
And I can’t get drunk on beer. When I drink it...I usually drink at 8-12 bottles.
For vodka it takes 750ml to get me wound up. And even then it’s not bad.
It’s genetic though. I wish I was like my girlfriend. She has 1 beer and she’s wasted. She is asian though and has the asian alcohol allergy. For me drinking costs too much to enjoy it a lot.
I drank at that rate for a while.
Quit drinking for 5 years due to health
The day lockdowns ended I was ready to party. And we did!
