Maybe we don’t need secession, either by states or counties. What if Red States simply stated that while the Federal Gov’t is not bound to the constitution, all they try to do will be considered null & void, until constitutional principles are followed. Refusal to comply, & maybe withholding tax monies, will start a conversation about what is wrong in this nation.

Build political and combat power.

Dinner tables, to living rooms, to patios, to campfires, to county-level rendezvous. All across the nation. Red, White, and Blueprint on steroids. There would have to be a platform to pull everyone together, cross all platforms, united under a single compact.

The only other option is to enjoy the ride all the way down to the destruction of the republic.

But every conservative with a platform wants to cash in and make money, the Tea Party has shot is wad, and we like our entertainment, normalcy bias, and addictions.

So the rub is, it will never happen. Let’s enjoy the ride until the US dollar loses world reserve currency status (in the works).

“Can you do it if you can’t spell it?”

I can’t do it... And that has nothing to do with my spelling.

“If you dissolve the United States “They” win.

No they don’t win. you can drive red county to red county coast to coast. In that sense we are contiguous. Blues counties are not.

“Their next step will be to take over whatever you have left, and if you can’t keep what you have now how will you keep what you have left?”

County sherifs are elected officials in most if not all counties, and they generally have the last word regarding law enforcement.

“Any civil war won’t be state against state, it will be neighbor against neighbor.”

Perhaps, but counties are more Representative, while maintaining authority, than any larger voting block.

You might be right on this. But that would take a state commitment, not down to the county level.

US acceptance of coexistence as the only alternative to atomic war.

— Communist goal #1
I see people still think the US is ideologically split by region, and that the left can be appeased by a form of land-for-peace when the left wants the whole thing—that is why they set their sights on DC first and worked their way down.

Reagan knew that the left can never be appeased, even in the faraway USSR, hence the arms race that succeeded for a time (until the left here undid the results). Splitting the country up results in two antagonists sharing a border, and war becomes inevitable.

I’m not sure counties trying to secede would have the impact that would be needed to get real change. They could be easily ignored, unless it was 90% of them in a given state. But if Red States actually started calling out the federal gov’t over unconstitutional action, it would get attention. Especially if four or five or more did it at once.

A friend sent me this to watch today: “(Remastered)(HQ) Dr. Schroeder discusses The Trading with the Enemy Act in 1994” on YouTube
https://youtu.be/nQd-p15EvtI

And I’m currently reading The Creature From Jekyll Island. The amount of criminal & unconstitutional stuff that’s been going on is just horrifying. I really don’t know if anything can be done to change things. Too many with power & money & they seem better able to fight US than we are to fight them.

If we had some kind of secession, the leftist faction would go with much of the rest of the nations in this world except for maybe Israel to the United Nations and call for boycotts, embargos, and even sanctions against the right leaning breakaway. We would be treated much the same way Rhodesia was in 1965 when they declared independence from Britain.

Wow. Start off a thread with a title with total misspelling of the proper word with a misspelled homonym. Which was the key word.

Why lead to war?

Secession is exactly what the “War for Independence” was.

There is no way the Founders would forbid it.

The so-called Civil War was states wanting to secede, but the Feds not just letting it go. Hence - war.

As was the RevWar. Which BTW was already in progress, not “following” the DOI - that was a year later.

The idea is you declare displeasure, and agree to separation. That should not have to mean war.

It would have been an interesting dilemma, if Jefferson Davis had been able to order South Carolina not to fire on Fort Sumter. Otherwise, the Federal property had been relinquished without violence. He could have then said, ‘How about us Tennesseans sit down and talk?” Such an event would not have been popular with the Manifest Destiny crowd.

There was no desire to “destroy the government”.

Secession is simply separation.

They simply wanted to separate, not “destroy” the US gov.

If you dissolve the United States “They” win.

I keep hearing variations of this--"If you__________, then they win"

OK--So what do you propose? We obviously cannot win at the ballot box--they have that sewn up. What is YOUR solution?

At some point, violence IS the answer. The only question that remains, is When is that point?

“Start off a thread with a title with total misspelling of the proper word”

Get over it. You clearly understood it even if Google’s AI spellcheck didn’t .

Thanks... I trusted the spellcheck.

Well, it's either "secession" or "succession" (with two c's) Either way, your spell check lied to you. Time to accept that your spell check is a communist disinformation agent.

“Any civil war won’t be state against state, it will be neighbor against neighbor. It will be more like the Irish Troubles than the American War Between The States.”

That’s a fact.

“We would be treated much the same way Rhodesia was in 1965 when they declared independence from Britain.”

The blue counties would need to trade with us to eat and for energy. Going to war with us wouldn’t solve their problem. We would ending up having all the power. They wouldn’t make it through 1 quarter without us.

OK, freedom believer.

Freedom to do what?

Do you have a theory of freedom that allows the state to crush bolshevik revolutionary activity such as that which is sweeping over our nation?

Do you have a theory of freedom which allows you to put an end to perversion being imposed on small children?
