This was World War One, in case you were wondering.
Back when Hollywood made great movies.
After Russia quit World War One, Lenin and Stalin executed close to 100,000 Russians while creating a Workers Paradise.
An interesting movie about a Russian women’s battalion at the end of WW1. The leader was executed by the communists eventually.
“Russia, 1917, WWI. This is the story of the 1st Russian Women’s Battalion of Death, formed as part of an ill-conceived propaganda ploy by the Russian Provisional Government in late May of 1917.”

“Marx argued that the struggle between workers and property owners would end only when workers as a community owned all land and other resources.”
Reminds me of a story I read about an automobile factory in Ohio about to be shutdown (I think it was Ford). They wound up, instead, selling it to ‘the workers’ (no doubt for a pittance). So the Communist Dream of the workers owning the means of production was finally realized!!!
Two years later, the plant shut down, this time for good...due to labor issues.
A book that I read on Soviet history discussed Lenin and his 20 hard-core Communist compatriots. By the mid 1930s, Stalin had executed every one of them. He knew that if they were able to overthrow the czar, they could easily be a threat to him.
Thanks. I was.
Re #5, it was over 30 million.
Clickbait!
Nope.
Wasn’t Russia using women as snipers and fighter pilots by WWII?
The snipers were not as snipers we think of, but city snipers and snipers fighting on close missions, jobs that elderly male snipers could do.
While the great American aces were running up totals of 20 and 30 and 25 kills, the Germans were running up kills in the 100s, even the several 100s on the Eastern front.
Yup. Several movies out there. Here is one that is a decent movie about a woman sniper:
“A story of Lyudmila Pavlichenko, the most successful female sniper in history.”

Propaganda of course.
I believe that had a lot to do with America rotating pilots in and out of combat while Germany did not. US pilot Ira Bong got 40, and was the top scoring US ace.
True, the Germans fought until they were killed or wounded, or the war ended.
Also, Russia wasn’t a quality military and the Germans were.
