It is getting harder to declare yourself more liberal than thou. One of the last venues to establish your liberal cred is to honor some trans (fake) woman. Honors, medals, awards are mostly about the giver, rather than the recipient. Obama’s Nobel, for example. Notice how rare it is, for example, for a conservative to become an honorary fellow, or get an honorary degree or win an academic scholarship from a liberal leaning institution.
