Wasn’t an elderly woman just recently killed when one of those bridges lifted and she fell onto the pavement?
There was a 79-year-old woman with a bicycle in Florida in February last year crossing a drawbridge. She fell 50 feet to the pavement below and died when the bridge opened. The bridge tender did not see her. Awful.
She had guts and strength that I wouldn't have - I can't see myself riding or even walking a bike at that age.
