I also watched the video and I was scared just sitting at home. Seeing those police walk into the valley of death impressed me so much I went to the Nashville police web site and recommended them for a commendation.(least I could do)

Kudos for charging in and coordinating based upon their training...but because they had to get there and get set up, they still did not get there for 14 minutes. That’s not on them at all. It’s a problem with there being no one responsible armed in such a place.

I figured when I watched the video of the takedown that the lead officer had some combat exp. He was extremely brave and very very good at his job.

My son shared a 2 minute, speeded up, video of the 2 policemen moving in and killing the perp.
I saw 10 seconds and said right away, “military training”!.
The former Marine was leading them the whole way, at one time saying, “rifle leads. You don’t lead with a pistol”.
He also cover their six while his partner went up a set of stairs.
Classic military techniques.
