I think this is my first vanity post in over 20 years of FR membership, and it may be another 20 years if ever before another one.
But this morning I have been watching the House on CSPAN, the five-minute speeches that are offered every day the House is in session.
The trend is clear. Of all the Republicans who have spoken, only one, Mark Green, the congressman representing Nashville, spoke of the Covenent massacre, and all that he had to say was in sympathy for the dead and those who knew them. Of all the Democrats who have spoken, as of 11 AM ET at least five have used their time to discuss the Covenant massacre, and every single one has said the reason was gun violence that Democrats want to end and Republicans want to continue.
This is how the Martyrs of Nashville come to die for nothing. May God forgive us as we stay silent in the face of evil.
Good post. It doesn’t matter what the topic is. Leftists do not hesitate to push their agenda. On the other hand, most conservative leaders hold back. They won’t take the risk.
It’s not hard to predict which side will win this long-term battle of ideas.
The issue is never the issue. The issue is always the revolution.
Thanks for posting. The Republicans are being outmaneuvered. A leftist nutjob murders people and it will get blamed on Republicans, not the transgender advocates that thrive on chaos.
11:18 ET, Rep. Andy Ogles, who is the congressman for the district where Covenant is located, is giving a response similar to Rep. Green, including a moment of silence, all by himself.
When the Club Q shooting happened last November, the then Dem-controlled House passed a resolution honoring the victims, and had a moment of silence on the floor where every single Dem representative and most of the GOP were there. The revolution knows how to never let a crisis go to waste.

Those are rookie numbers!
You need to pump up those numbers!
I know it’s really bizarre. To listen to these Democrats, it sounds like they think Republicans and conservatives are in favor of massacres, and only good Democrats oppose mass shootings. Of course it’s ridiculous but that’s the impression that they seem to convey.
This is why we call the GOP, The Stupid Party.
It’s like the GOP is unprepared to offer a reasoned counter argument.
