As an aside, since the world over have covid stats that are about half of what they are in the US, one can reasonably assume that the real number of those that died of covid in the US is about half of the number counted.

There were huge financial incentives for hospitals to declare that someone died of covid. That would certainly affect the death rate from “covid.”
