Houston police said a 23-year-old man was shot and killed when he tried to rob a food truck on South Main on Tuesday afternoon.

Indeed. The headline could have been: foodtruck assaulter shot dead by female cashier, but no, it is shaped to make the woman shooting the perp the scary thing.
Are the cops in Houston writing those trashy headlines for the media?
They make the woman killing the dude the scary person when she probably was in a dire decision situation that few men or cops would dare take nowadays against a usual suspect…

According to the Houston Police Department, the robbery happened at about 1 p.m. on Tuesday in the 14500 block of South Main Street at Fondren.
The suspect got out of his truck, opened the food truck’s front window, and pointed the gun inside. Police said the suspect fired his gun, but it jammed.
That’s when the woman pulled out her own gun and fired multiple times. Howard’s mother is licensed to carry a gun, according to the family.
The actual reporting seems pretty sympathetic to the defender, though. Did she get shot? (Report said she was in the hospital.) Prayers for her speedy recovery!
