Think I’m done donating. After 20 years, and thousands of dollars (please fact check me Jim’s finance ppl, I don’t care if you post my contributions). Jim et al have not bothered to invest in new technology. Where is a secure app? Where is the reader / mobile version?
This website is a great conservative asset but it feels like it’s just being milked instead of being built up (get new consultants Jim cause this approach is stupid). An app could have been developed for 50k easy over the years but it seems to me that this is just a cash machine for Jim without regard to the future. It’s short sighted and stupid without regard for conservatives in the field because there is no advancement. Hell, I literally fought leftists in my town when Bill Clinton came around in the 90s because of this website. That is the power that can be harnessed but management is asleep at the wheel. Where is the secure chat? Where are new secure features for conservatives? You want conservatives to put their lively hood on the line for conservatism yet your site advances zero over decades. I used to look up to Jim but now I see he is short sighted. This website will go down the sink hole of life, as it should, because there is no investment in improvement or continuity. It’s just Jim’s ATM... BAN me if you will cause IDC anymore. Enjoy the thousands I’ve donated over the years. I hope it has allowed yall a nice lifestyle and when you are gone so too will be this website. And that’s a shame because conservatism is an ideal worth fighting for, but there is no fight here, just stagnation and donation requests.
Also I’d like to add that FR’s embrace or just tolerance for Q’Anon agitprop is horsechit. For the last year my father won’t speak to me because I didn’t agree that Tom Cruise and other Hollywood types weren’t executed at Gitmo. There is no fricking “plan”! It’s just a grift. And again I don’t care if you BAN me but this needs to be said. The fact that Q stuff which frankly is likely cointelpro stuff is allowed and that it’s posted with Jim’s explicit approval is extremely disappointing. Please, some Q Fan tell how Tom Cruise and John Travolta along with hundreds of other celebrities were executed at Gitmo without their families raising a stink. How is that possible for celebrity families? Of course, it’s not, yet that crap is propagated here.

Q never said that Cruise and other Hollywood types were executed at Gitmo. That's just disinfo that some gobble up and then blame on Q. The FED types that infiltrate and distort Jan 6 protests also flood forums, create fake news websites, and insert wild stuff (Travolta) to discredit otherwise legitimate information. ANy time I see that trash about Gitmo executions (i.e., Real Raw News) I ask admin to delete it.

This is an old-style platform for older white males with desktops and laptops, mainly. Most of us aren’t interested in ‘apps’ or the devices which run them.
Not everything in this wide world has to be future-proof and forward-looking. I find it oddly comforting to know that this place where I’ve posted often, will most likely turn to dust more or less simultaneous with me turning to dust.

knew there was no real evidence for that, and some of us could have discussed
with him the shills and spooks that plague the millions of good people involved
in that movement with nonsense; good people who are mostly guilty of nothing

I was with you on the matter of the technical lack of progress shown at Free
Republic, though.
I once tried to interest Jim in taking over a fully running IOS and Android, fully
threaded ad free FreeRepublic reader App that my Son and a friend of his had
developed, but we got no response.
I confess that I would like to hear about plans to someday place FR into the
hands of someone(s) with the same kind passion and vision for Free Republic’s
role in our Nation’s future, that was once FReely on Tap here.

Yea ok. My dad won’t talk to me because of the Q grifters on Signal et al, railing about stupid arse chit like “we confiscated trillions of Vatican gold” and “Tom Cruise has been replaced with a deep fake” but sure Q is real.
I find it amazing and crazy that you so-called conservatives put your faith in a non-person called Q. As conservatives / traditionalists we typically base our decisions on facts, science, reality, conscience and faith but Q is none of that.
Q is an amorphic blob with which a dupe can place their faith and hopes. It’s a scam against human conscience and therefore terrible.
