At the beginning of the lockdown, along with a couple others, I organized a small freedom protest. Restaurants were only allowed to do take out, so we invited the community to support a local restaurant and meet up in a park for a community picnic.
As the organizer, I walked around and thanked everyone for coming. There was a man and woman on a blanket. They were both wearing Madison Rising hats.
I commented on how much I loved some of their music and found out I was talking to their lead singer. He lived nearby and was walking his talk.
Sadly, the band is no longer together.
I did not know that. What a shame.
