Yes, the pattern is scouring the internet for reports of young adults dying. From what one would read on FR, one would think young adults have never died before.
When I was in the Army, a bunch of us used to do something very similar. We would search the internet or wire services to find articles about physically fit soldiers dying while doing PT ... and then try to use those articles to argue that PT should be cancelled as being dangerous to soldiers' lives ...
But, of course, we always did it knowing that we were just making a joke of the whole thing, and pissing in the wind ...

Initially, but now it seems to have expanded to scouring the internet for reports of anyone dying from anything at virtually any age. Can’t miss an opportunity to say “clot shot” - which is a valuable public service since it’s very informative.
At some point, the anecdotal becomes the pattern when it becomes frequent enough. Happy?
