JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (WFLA) — Aiden Fucci, the teenager who murdered 13-year-old Tristyn Bailey in 2021, was sentenced to life in prison Friday morning.
Fucci pleaded guilty to murdering Tristyn Bailey, who was stabbed 114 times, last February. For the past three days, testimonies were heard as a judge determined what sentence to give the now-16-year-old defendant.

> Will he be in an adult facility? <
If not now, eventually.
Many inmates have kids who are around the age of the girl Fucci murdered. His time in prison will not be pleasant.
I guess that’s true enough.
Me too.
Can’t post this story due to FR restrictions
“The mother is charged with evidence tampering.
She has pleaded not guilty to evidence tampering. Deputies say surveillance video shows her washing blood out of her son’s jeans.
Her next court date is April 4 for a pretrial hearing.
According to deputies’ reports, when Smith was with Fucci in the Sheriff’s Office interrogation room, she advised him to “find his story and stick with it.” Reports say she also “attempted to convince him” he was wearing khakis the night of the murder, rather than the allegedly bloody blue jeans.
The report said Smith whispered the word “blood” to him as if to remind him the pants were not clean.”
The parents of this kid failed him miserably IMO.
He’ll be evaluated mentally and physically in a juvenile facility for a period of time.....the results of that will determine which juvenile facility he goes to.......when he turns 18 he goes to big boy prison.
I wonder if he were a different race, what the sentence would have been.

I’ve lived one county over from St. John’s since 1969......and I can say with all confidence I doubt the sentence would have been one day less.
*** The parents of this kid failed him miserably IMO.***
Oh, yeah, big time.
I’m sure you’re right. They all get evaluated when they go in. He’s been in for 2 years already, so maybe they have some idea of which facility it will be.
Putting this sociopath in juvie with other minors is a disservice to the petty underage criminals who aren’t sociopaths.
Of course, all the kids in juvie might be sociopaths, in which case, they ought to get along fine.
He’s so far been held in county jail.....he has now been remanded over to the state prison system.....I’m sure they’ll want to do their own evaluation.
Oh, I see. I didn’t realize that.
When I was growing up, the county jail was just a few blocks from my house. I had a friend who was scared to come visit until I told her that we were so close, any escaped prisoners would likely go right past our house. That helped her not be so nervous. Plus, we had guard dogs (German Shepherds) and a couple of guns on the premises. Those dogs were big deterrents to passers by. Eventually, they built a different facility on another side of town. The Sheriff’s office is still there though. Just administrative stuff, I think.
No state legislature can- the Supreme court ruled no death penalty for murderers who are minors.
Don’t ask me how I know all that 😏
I know a young man who served time in juvie. They’re not all sociopaths. When his parents went through divorce, he acted up, got sent there. I don’t know for how long, but I don’t think it was much. It was the best thing that ever happened to him. He got straightened out there. He’s a much better person because of it. That’s when the system works. There’s a lot of troubled kids out there, and they need help sometimes that their parents either can’t or don’t give them. He’s a fine, responsible young man now, with a bright future.
Sounds good!
Do they have the death penalty for 14 year old kids? That’s how old he was when he did this depraved act.
He’s a psychopath, pure and simple.
He stabbed her 114 times? What is wrong with this guy? He’s either very inefficient with a knife or seriously loco.
The latter
No DP for them anywhere, think SCOTUS ruled it out some years ago. Which is too bad because I don’t think it’s likely that many will reform in any way.
