Worked for the fed gov for 31 years, back in the early 2000s the latest generation of ID card was issued that had a chip imbeded right on the card. A fingerprint scan was required to receive the card. Along with ss# and all other personal info about the card holder it even carried blood type......I was never really comfortable with any of that.
