Funny, but I had the same feeling at a Kings of Comedy/Earth Wind and Fire/Eisley Brothers concert in Atlanta some years back. My wife was low on the totem pole at the law firm she was working for and we got skybox access for the odd stuff, events the top partners wouldn't be caught dead at. The comedy was excruciatingly funny, the music much better than I expected. We were among perhaps 300 white attendees in a crowd of maybe 9,000. No one got killed. I think.

Same here. My brother, sister and I went to see EWF in concert for the “All ‘n All” tour in ‘77. We were 3 white dots in a sea of Afros ‘n’ cornrows. No one gave us any crap at all. Great show
