All I see is “me”, “my needs and wants”, etc.

No one without a servants heart is going to find any benefit or fulfillment in a long-term relationship.

Yep, that was the case with my friend in previous post. His wife wouldn’t accept that any bit of the problem In The marriage was her fault, all she could say was that her “need” was not met, and by need, I mean need to control.

Well said- both need to have a servant’s heart, and both need to appreciate the fact that the other wants to serve in their own way, and not try to mold the other person to,the point where they begin to resent being “commanded” to act a certain way or else. . It really is selfishness when it comes to that point

I would define "love" as a willingness to make an effort to enhance the happiness and well-being of the loved one.

For a successful marriage, do not marry someone because you are sure you love her. Marry because you are confident SHE love YOU.
