We supported corrupt nations in opposing the Nazis and Communists. We got help from the wretched French monarchy in the revolution. The bottom line is that Russia is a severe threat and a renegade super power is something that we have a serious interest in opposing. The revolution that ousted the pro Russian corrupt regime was an internal revolution that we may of very well helped. But it had popular support of the Ukrainian people. Zelensky ran as a reformer and I know of no information that he is corrupt except that we which comes from Russian propaganda that is disseminated on this board.
The issue that Russia is a serious threat to us is a joke that’s being aptly shown every day in Ukraine. Only her nukes are dangerous to us and we take a chance of it escalating by our involvement in this conflict.
At best it’s a regional threat so let the Europeans deal with this situation. After all,they didn’t see Russia as a threat when they didn’t build up their armies and signed up for Ivan’s cheap gas!
