They should try that in Kentucky, only with mint juleps.

Sure, what could go wrong there?

If it works, they could put them on the Autobahn, and we could put a few on Mount Washington where people die of exposure every year.

At least they’ll go out with a smile.

“ known as Germany’s drink of choice. It is packed with fruits like pears, cherries, apples and plums.

That’s why they drink it - it’s good for you! (Except for the toxin)

America used to have little things that reflected the honesty of our people.

There was a story from around 1970 about someone who kept money in a mounted box on a road of the community and how over the years sometimes the money ran low and sometimes it was more than the couple of hundred that started it, but when the story broke the money had been there for whoever needed it, for many years, people would dip in, people would pay it back, but it was completely self-maintained.

This sounds like my kind of hike. I imagine it might go a bit weavy and zig-zaggy towards the end.

Volksmarches are a German tradition.

Pay a fee for entrance and get handed a beer glass usually donated by the sponsoring brewery. Talk a walk through the forest and every few kilometers you can get a refill (free) and a bratwurst if you want to pay.

I hope to be able to visit Bavaria again during a volksfest in a small town and do that again.
