Now that she’s been ousted from continuing to be mayor of the city I grew up by and love, outgoing Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot got just a sliver of what she deserves from a local journalist.
“I hope that, after today’s city council meeting, you will pack your suitcase and get the hell out of my city.”
Those were the words of reporter William Kelly directly towards Lightfoot at Wednesday’s city council meeting.
According to Fox News, Kelly currently has a lawsuit pending against Lightfoot “for allegedly silencing him by pulling his city press credentials.” Kelly alluded that in his time addressing both the council and Lightfoot, herself.
“On a weekly basis I was going viral asking your obvious questions, and instead of answering them, you told me that crime was down,” Kelly told Lightfoot. “My videos went viral, millions of views, comments, likes and shares, and it was hurting your re-election campaign, so you revoked my media credential. That should never happen in a free country.”
Among other things, perhaps the most profound and justified thing Kelly said was his suggestion to Lightfoot on what her plan of action should be once she leave office.
“I hope that after today’s city council meeting, you will pack your suitcase and get the hell out of my city!” Kelly said.
As he finished his comments, some women in the room could be heard self-righteously telling Kelly that there was a “global pandemic” going on.
“You are a pandemic!” Kelly replied. You are a pandemic!”

Groot gotta Go!
Politicians come and go but reporters can last a l-o-n-g time!
Poor Lori. She never got the memo, it seems.
Ya think hes got a resentment to work on?
What’s his political affiliation?
I’d be surprised if he’s a dem and got treated like that.
Flipside is that if he’s a dem and got that treatment he’d still support dems..
I’m gonna miss Beetlejuice! Beetlejuice! Beetlejuice!
He could have got rid of her easy just by saying “Beetle Juice, Beetle Juice, Beetle Juice!”
“What’s his political affiliation?”
He’s white, so he naturally is despised by Groot.
I’ve been to Chi-town once. It was back in the 80’s via a twin engine plane that landed at Midway. This was a business trip and there were fellow workers on the trip.
I figured when Lightfoot became Mayor that dark days were ahead for Chicago. Thrilled to see her go. Wish she could take some rat brothers and sisters with her.
Well, there’s that.
LOL
He’s also running for the Reform Party.
