You are an exception in your extreme reaction to aspirin. Exceptions aren’t the rule. It is good to understand theres a small chance of a reaction like this, but for the vast majority, that isn’t what is going to happen. Otherwise we’d see everyone that takes anything long term develop an allergy to it.

There was not a long term involved. I created the problem by overdosing. I think I made that clear. I have met more than one person who has aspirin allergy. How does one know if they are, or are not, an exception? Better safe than sorry. I also have been taking a med or two for many years, not overdosed, and no allergy. Summing up, use common sense and do not overdose when using medications, including the lowly aspirin. Avoid reactions like allergy and more dire consequences.
