I read her Opus and felt she made a number of valid points and I think she is right about Trump and Conservatism.
Trump’s win in 2016 was a Giant Fluke and I think even he knew that. He had a lot opportunity to do some very important and meaningful things, but didn’t.
As for 2024, at this point Trump has a lot of baggage and the question is could he win another national election. My guess right now, No, he would need to change the way he is doing things and I doubt he will.

He/she is right about not-as-thoughtful posts as in the past. But we were saying that in 2017 when she signed up. In 2017 it wasn’t as thoughtful as it was in 2000 when I signed up. Everything changes, but FR still is a great — the best — forum.
