Lowe’s third party delivery is an absolute unmitigated charlie foxtrot. I had them “attempt” to deliver FIVE times on a new washing machine. TWICE I caught them driving up along the street, turning around and driving off without even coming up to the house. Keep in mind I took off work for these deliveries! I complained to Lowe’s as far up in management as I could and they all said the same thing— we know, we get hundreds of complaints and we are pushing for change but the decision is out of our hands.
About a decade ago we went through the same thing with a washer and dryer.....3 delivery dates, 3 no-shows and the “it’s not on the truck” BS. Went to the local Lowes and was 4th in line to cancel my order and receive a refund. About 3 months later I came home to a washer and dryer in their boxes in my driveway. Moved them off to the side and after about 2 hours of explanation on the phone, they confirmed I wasn’t charged and said they’d pick them up, which occurred after about 3 weeks of monsoon rains.

When I was 26 years old, I returned from a two year stint overseas only to find Crocker Bank had “lost” my bank account with $25,000. The bank manager was a major butthole and actually said “You probably bounced a check.”
I didn’t bother with any underlings but wrote to the company president, with a cc to the SVP of customer accounts and another cc to the banking commission in Sacramento. I had to go to the library to find the book that listed the executives names and addresses, but it got results.
My account was restored a day or two later and thereafter the branch manager became very polite to me with “Mr.” this and “Sir” that.
