On an episode of Yellowstone, Kayce Dutton advised a neighboring rancher to get some donkeys, “mean ones,” to turn out with the cattle and keep the wolves away.

A relative that has Appaloosas took me to visit a horse friend.
A nice spread!
He said, “Hey Stosh show him your hand”.
YIKES!!! Massive scars. And he told me that he was giving one of his horses a treat with his hand and the horse ACCIDENTLY bit off three of his fingers!
I asked if they put the horse down, and he then explained, they cannot see exactly what they are eating and have incredibly powerful jaws.
Also, he felt it was completely his fault for being on the phone and giving the horse a treat at the time, and here is the horse right next to us in the barn.

Burros go Dr.Jeckle and Mr. Hyde, my sister had a couple on her farm years ago. She doesn’t raise livestock any longer. She told me those burros “know their work but were too damn noisy.”
