I have a few Freepers in mind. All of whom pass one test: They don’t insult posters they don’t agree with.
Insults have sadly becoming way too common here on FR. Someone posts a Trump comment (could be pro, could be con). Too many folks who disagree with that comment won’t take the time to craft an effective counter-argument. Instead they start throwing out insults.
Same goes with the Ukrainian threads.
So yeah. I would enjoy a beer with any Freeper who could carry on a civil conversation. That way I might even learn something.
These are very different times, and very different FReepers. FReepers have threatened one another in some of the Russia-Ukraine War threads. The COVID-19 threads are not much better. Many FReepers want an echo chamber.
1) rotorhawk - is in Army Aviation and a rotary wing pilot. Had the good fortune to exchange emails with him. His last post was in April 2004. Hope he's doing well.
2) Common Tator - always had a good take on the media.
3) MurryMom - Just to see if she is a real person and not a chat bot or robot of some type. Banned long ago.
4) WillieGreen - Had some very definite views. Agai, banned long ago.
5) JohnHuang2 - Top shelf late night poster. Has not posted since May 2017.
