Early previews had the Taiwan flag on the back of Maverick’s jacket changed to something else. My guess is Cruise has enough power to say “screw that” and make the movie the way he wanted. As far as I know it did not show in China and still made well over a billion dollars. One dude has more weight in Hollywood than the CCP. I hope they take note.
