I guess I’m not happy about seeing Charles not pass on some of mother’s money. If the queen chose to have multiple children, then it seems she has some obligation to make sure those kids are treated fairly to one another, without leaving unkind value judgements behind to scar them further. If she protected Andrew when she was alive (when she would have been better being stricter with him), then I think he has some points about being left stranded now. Additionally, it’s not clear that Charles will live for the 7 years it takes to make any money Charles passes on be tax free. So the longer Charles waits to give funds to his siblings, the more likely they are to pay big to inherit, where he won’t for himself. More family unfairness. In case I’m looking like an Andrew apologist, I think he’s guilty of everything he’s accused of, and has a rather disgusting personality on top of it.
As a parent of three, I can’t disagree with your point about treating the kids fairly, which we’ve always tried to do...their accusations in jest notwithstanding. You love them unconditionally.
