Stiller shouldn’t apologize for anything. The movie itself covered and explained the issue with the actual black character in it complaining about a white, blue-eyed Australian actor portraying a black man.
One of the funnier parts is the explanation of never going full retard. When you stop and think about it, in actual films, the actors really never go full retard. Not Tom Hanks, not Dustin Hoffman.
