Rush Limbaugh’s widow, Kathryn Adams Limbaugh, has sold her husband’s longtime Florida compound of 20-plus years for a whopping $155 million.
This marks a record for the Palm Beach area, which has seen a slew of big-time deals in the past few years, according to the Wall Street Journal.
In 2013, hedge funder Ken Griffin paid $129.6 million for four parcels in the area, making that the most recent record — until now.

I have nothing against Rush who I certainly agree was a talent broadcaster but it seems a bit of a shame that the only legacy he will leave, aside from a bunch of tapes that eventually no one will hear, is money for his family, and nothing that will perpetuate the conservative principles that he built his wealth on.
so why did he buy these homes ?...to what end?...just the rich being rich because they can...
Rush was indeed a pivotal person...
but think what he could have done with his money...he could have bought a few local tv stations or radio stations....
with that money he could have done a ton of good in the political arena....
the conservative rich don't seem to put their money where their mouth is.
actually using it right now, got it in this wonderful gift basket Rush and Katherine sent me. It also included a high quality personally embroidered american flag, but that won't go up on display until they restore the election process, so it may spend it's life in the closet
Call me a big time cynic, one thing I’ve come to believe in death is no one really cares, once you are dead in a short amount of time you are fogotten.
My father died in 1993, 30 years ago, how many times have I visited his grave ?? I can count the time on one hand. The Cemetery is 2 hours away from where I live.
In May of 2020, my mother died and is buried next to him, how many times have I visited her grave ?? ZERO.
Funerals are for the living, once you are gone, it’s over and life moves on.
I miss both of them all the time, but they aren’t coming back.
That’s why my plan is to be cremated and my ashes are to be thrown into the nearest body of water where I live, pond, river, ocean, etc..
Miss him every day.
Rush left behind 20 million-plus listeners who were more informed, and hopefully, more conservative than when they first listened.
That is his legacy.
Like the man said earlier: “A Republic - if YOU can keep it.”
It’s my house now...in my dreams.
I visit my parents grave about once a year. I’m closer than you at 2 hours away. Less than an hour away for me. My sister never visits or extremely rarely. I go to reflect and meditate and also to check on the condition of the marker. You are right in that once I’m gone no one will visit or remember much. It’s just the way things are.
Will the new owner be allowed to turn on outdoor lights? lol
So did we. No one matches Rush.
Yes, I remember when he lost Pumpkin and his sorrow. It made me love him even more.
I’ll raise you one...
When I was a teacher, I used to ask my students if they remembered their grandparents—most, if not all, did.
Then I’d ask if they remembered their great grandparents—still quite a few hands went up.
Then I’d ask if they remembered their great, great grandparents - virtually no hands went up.
I concluded my little experiment by saying that, unless you do something historic, or leave something like a book behind, it will take about 4 generations before there will not be a single person on this earth that will have ever known you existed.
“Gather, ye, rosebuds while ye may...”
Only thing that matters: Did he get accepted into heaven.
Everyone’s electric bill is jumping higher.
Mine 35 percent higher than last year.
I guess you’ve never been to Palm Beach, otherwise you would never ask why someone would buy a home there.
Also, living in Florida has tremendous tax advantages (and also creditors are not allowed to lien your primary residence).
Don't forget that RUSH was 90% entertainer and 10% activist. What he left behind to perpetuate the conservative movement is his 20 million listeners. That's an army.
“Everyone’s electric bill is jumping higher.”
That can’t be true. This week PINO Joe said he has lowered utility bills. Who are you going to believe, Joe or the electric bill right in front of your eyes?
I still get paper bills and have them filed.
About right for my electric bill as well. It surly went up even though wintr has been milder this year.
God Bless Rush Limbaugh who taught me to fight absurdity with absurdity. Thank you Rush. Sure do miss you down here.
