I cook with avocado oil, which has a much higher smoke point than olive oil. It tends to be more expensive though.
As for olive oil, I have been using it as salad dressing for years. In fact, I don't have any salad dressing in my house at all. Just drizzle olive oil on top of any salad and you are good to go.
my understanding is that olive oil has a smoke point of 350 degrees. what’s the smoke point of avocado oil? coconut oil? butter?
