If it was a schedule 1 it could not be prescribed to anyone.

It does have medical uses and is used in hospitals. Unless I am mistaken Schedule 1 drugs are all banned and have no (approved) medical use.

The bill is stupid. schedule 1 is drugs “ with no medical use”:
Fentanyl is used every day in ERs ORs ICUs and ambulances . It’s an effective versatile extremely useful medication. Banning its medical use won’t stop illicit use anymore then it stopped Heroin or Methamphtamine use. Stupid.

This should be the clearest sign yet of the dimmocommie’s desire to see the end of our country. Anyone voting for dimmocommies either is absolutely stupid or also wants to see the end of our country.

Never has a criminal class been pampered as much as the dark ones in the United States of America. They're card is even better than a Costco Membership card.

It’s given to cancer patients. They have it in a patch. Was the a trick to make Republicans look bad?

Obviously fentanyl cannot be classified in Schedule I, it’s in use every day in every ICU in the United States.

Whose moronic idea was this?

Schedule 1 is for prohibited meds.

Fentanyl has valid medical uses... only fools use it for fun as it can be deadly.

Per Wiki-hahahaha-pedia:

This is the list of Schedule I drugs as defined by the United States Controlled Substances Act.[1] The following findings are required for drugs to be placed in this schedule:[2]

1]) The drug or other substance has a high potential for abuse.
2) The drug or other substance has no currently accepted medical use in treatment in the United States.
3)There is a lack of accepted safety for use of the drug or other substance under medical supervision.

None of these three statements are true of Fentanyl. Listing Fentanyl or its relatives as Schedule 1 would be a gross error ... The ‘rats are right, though probably for the wrong reasons.

Fentanyl should not be a schedule I. It is an invaluable part of a lot of general anesthetic, important in analgesic based sedation for critically ill patients and a good drug for cancer patients at end of life. Here we have the government making a problem and then solving it in the worst possible way.

Their unnecessary restriction of pain meds for the suffering will lead to increased street use. Horrible idea. Period.

The next one to keep an eye out for is xylazine or “tranq”. That’s starting to show up in larger amounts.
