When all that snow melts Governor Gruesome Newsom will let it run into the Pacific Ocean.

Great news
But they have torn up at least one dam to store this water, and no new storage has been added

Actually I would bet that Sacramento gets flooded again this Spring, Also hoping for the spillway on Shasta dam to be put to use — has not overflowed for a long time.

The California reservoirs should be full this summer. At least, until Governor Newsome and his administration figure out how to screw that up, too.

Mammoth Mtn reporting RECEIVING 555” at main lodge, and 708” at the summit, with a base depth of 215”.

There are some forecasting models reporting a potential series of inbound atmospheric rivers totaling 15” of water content, coming out of the SW pacific ocean that could deluge the area over the next two weeks.

Even flatlanders like those of us living in a 1-2 hour distance from Gay Frisco are being warned of rain, some sleet and snow in the next 2 weeks.

My wife has 2 shopping lists for our local grocery shopping trip this afternoon. One is a regular list, and the other list is incase the stores runout after a week or so. No perishables in that list~ Everything is in a can or package not needing refrigeration nor freezing.

“OPEN ALL THE DAMS NOW!” (avoid the rush).

They’ll need to protect endangered salmon, or the snail darter, or the spotted owl, and divert as much of the melt as possible to the ocean. And once it stops, they’ll ramp up the “OH NO! IT’S SO DRY!” rhetoric.

Can’t be.

“Climate scientists” decreed there would be no more snow after the year 2000.

“In 2000, climate scientist David Viner with the University of East Anglia told reporters, “Children just aren’t going to know what snow is.” Viner argued global warming would make snowfall “a very rare and exciting event”.”

The Endangered Species Act has become a political sledgehammer the left uses for tyrannical control. Oddly, I approve of trying to save endangered species but the economic and societal consequences must be considered. If the Delta Smelt went extinct there would be no economic or societal price to pay. That price is being paid by farmers who do not have enough water for their crops. This also has a great negative societal effects.

Give the water to the farmers would be my decision.

When the EPA puts restrictions of how one's own property can or can not be used, it devalues the worth of that land. The property owner is not compensated for this devaluation. This is actually a type of seizure that is explicitly illegal as defined in our constitution.

The “DELTA SMELT” is NOT NATIVE to the Sacramento/San Joaquin Delta, it was brought in with ballast water from ships coming from the Louisiana area of the Gulf of Mexico.

JUST ANOTHER ILLEGAL ALIEN!

So, more rights than HUMAN AMERICANS!
