Many of them are too broke to go anywhere (and of course, don’t have the courage to go to a foreign country where they know no one and don’t speak the language.)
Lenin had one good idea - in Soviet Russia you had to work six days a week. The seventh day was your day off, the subbotnik which I believe is Russian for “Sabbath”. Lenin said wouldn’t it be a better use of your time if you spent the Subbotnik cleaning streets, toilets, painting, etc.? Voluntary but not really. What a wonderful idea for these layabout leftists. They can follow the advice of their spiritual leader, get off their duffs, and practice what they preach for the first time.
