Accidents do happen. Some lawyer will ‘f’ it up.

In the old Catholic demonologies, there was one devil who was tasked with breaking branches and trees right when they would fall on a person. Seriously, that was *all* he did.

Talk about a boring job.

As far as a low effort job, a different demon was tasked with persuading women to take off their clothes and dance naked in public. I imagine after a few thousand years, he became something like a *totally gay* Bob Fosse, directing yet another nude revival of “A Chorus Line” on Broadway.

Ask Gov. Abbott about the dangers of falling trees.

Tree hugging is not good when the tree hugs you.

In the olden days, 30 years ago, it was an all male outing but times, they change.

An adult leader in the council was killed sleeping in his tent when the wind came up and a tree blew over.

Stuff happens. What are the odds though?

Wow, what a horrible tragedy. Her poor son seeing his mom get hit, caught by the tree, and die. Just awful. I cannot imagine.

I couldn't understand the woman announcer's pronunciation of the trail name. The map shows the "Stephen E. Abbors Trail" which used to be the "PG&E Trail." I've hiked that many, many times (I'm sure you have, too). When did they rename it? I never look at the maps because I know all the trails there.

I hiked Coyote Hills today. What spectacular views after the rain and the snow still visible on the ridges above Sunol. I think I'm going to hike Sunol tomorrow and get up to the snow. Little Yosemite is closed due to storm damage.

Terrible writing of the headline and story. It is difficult to be killed by a “fallen tree,” as it is simply lying there, already down and inert.

So from the title the tree had fallen and then killed her. That IS amazing.
