When Chris Wray and Rachel Maddow receive the same bat-signal at the same time that it’s OK to blame a “Wuhan lab leak”, you know something bad is about to break.
How many people know the Wuhan case maps aren’t centered on the lab OR the “wet market”?
From what I understand, the Chinese military went in and took control of the Wuhan lab, scrubbed it clean, removed or destroyed all equipment, condemned the building, and now keep guard there. So there is no going back to the scene of the crime.
They also again just recently denied that the lab was the original source for Covid-19, along with a well placed jab at the past inaccuracy of US intelligence reports. So China isn’t a cooperating witness, either.
So to your point, the only way left to solve this mystery, is for us to either find some Chinese defectors willing to bring evidence, which is probably hard to smuggle out, OR, more likely, if the story is to be further developed, people in the US will need to admit what WE know about gain of function, and what WE were doing as part of it.
I find it extremely interesting that one of the best first hand witnesses we have in this regard, Dr. Andrew Huff, the former VP of Eco Health alliance, had a fascinating and very long interview on Steve Bannon’s show this week, but his interview has since been pulled from the site.
Why might this be? Well the obvious thing to me is that the things he was so knowledgable about, being the US involvement in the development of Covid, goes completely contrary to the narrative that Trump is now strongly pushing that the Chinese are solely responsible, to the point they now owe the world reparations.
This focus on China is extremely important for Trump to try to absolve himself of being guilty of the gain of function research being re-instated under his administration.
Dr. Huff’s interview was very enlightening in this regard, in how there were new contracts being spun up with Wuhan while Trump was President, and also that there were State Department “cables” that were opposing this research at Wuhan due to some inspections that had been performed there that indicated the Wuhan lab was extremely poorly managed, and that a leak of dangerous toxins was highly likely.
Putting two and two together, when you have Rachel Maddow and Chris Wray et al saying we now basically know Covid came from the lab, even though China is completely uncooperative, then the obvious next target for them is Trump. There may be some proof like the Presidential daily brief, or other documents that show Trump was well aware of the dangerous state of the lab but didn’t do anything to stop gain of function then, or even after the outbreak.
Oh I know the Trump supporters will say I am just making all this up and trying to pin blame where it doesn’t belong. But I believe it is imperative that we get to the bottom of this, and Dr. Huff says he has tried to get before Congress to give the details he knows, even before this new Covid committee, but that they don’t want to hear from him it doesn’t appear, as their goal seems to just match Trump’s and attempt to solely blame the Chinese.
