White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre lashed out at Republican Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee Friday over a bill he signed into law this week restricting drag shows on public property, in the presence of children, or near schools in the state.
Jean-Pierre, who is openly gay, questioned what impact the bill would have on the lives of Americans, and claimed people were more concerned about issues like the economy and healthcare.
"The American people are focused on so many issues. We just talked about economy, we just talked about inflation, we're talking about safer communities and schools, and good healthcare – all of the things that you all ask me every day. And you all know that's what the American people care about," she said in response to a question on what the Biden administration would do in response to the law.
"That's what – even when they went to vote in November, those were the issues that mattered the most to them. But instead of doing anything to address those real issues that are impacting American people, right now you have a governor from Tennessee that has decided to go after drag shows. What sense does that make to go after drag shows? How is that going to help people's lives?" she added.

Remember this one?
“Who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men?”
People are asking this question. It makes one wonder what is going on in our schools and other public places to even make this necessary.
I will go to my death bed totally convinced that homosexuals are not born homosexual!
They are seduced (”groomed”)to the homosexual lifestyle, IMHO!
BUT, that doesn't matter.
The Bible (ergo God) says it's a sin. And even people who aren't Christians or Jews who have read the Bible cover-to-cover know it contains absolute wisdom. And this wisdom is applicable to individuals, families, societies and cultures, even the entire world.
God doesn't declare "this is a sin and that is a sin" just to be capricious. He's protecting us.
Sins are more than just an insult to God. Sins are destructive to each and every one of us.
Bottom line, however one developed a proclivity for homosexuality is irrelevant. Whether you got there by grooming, by being born that way, or whether because you simply got a bump on the head and ended up there...it must be dealt with like all sin. A person must eliminate that behavior from his human activity.
And unfortunately for any sinner of any kind, it isn't just behavior that must be eliminated. As Jesus said (and this makes a massive amount of sense), it must be eliminated from our thoughts and fantasies.
I know several people who have repented of homosexuality and eventually overcame their same sex attractions.
God provides grace to walk in His righteousness. He set me free from the sins I was bound to. I know men who were drug addicts, alcoholics, adulterers, and brawlers who have been set free.
He has delivered me from several serious sins that, frankly, had me in a choke-hold.
What upsets me is how people in many churches are telling people that homosexuality isn't a sin and doesn't require repentance and forgiveness. These so-called Christians may be damning some people to hell by their ridiculous self-perceived "sensitivity" to gays and lesbians.
I have several friends who have homosexual children who are doing the above.
