The Bush's got behind Reagan and served in his administration. Did that dilute Reagan's conservatism?

The day Bush had Reagan's microphone turned off, showed me what kind of person GHWB was and what kind of person Reagan was. Bush was not worthy of any higher office after that stunt.

Bush did not do that. The pro-Bush moderator did it and, as a result, handed the primary to Reagan because Reagan came out as a fighter and the nation was looking for a fighter.

Reagan wanted Ford as his VP, but could not come to terms with the power Ford wanted. Reagan knew he needed to bring the GOP together and settled on Bush.

Reagan united and took over the GOP, bringing conservatism to the mainstream.

Trump did the same and took over the GOP, bringing populism, anti-war, pro-border security to the mainstream of the GOP.

Just remember, that a Bush endorsed Trump for POTUS in 2020.
