I don’t really understand why he did it, but am pretty sure he did.

The wife I could understand since she was going to leave him. But his son.. just don’t get it.

I think there was more motive for him to kill his son, than the wife. He probably killed the wife, because she would have figured what he did.

The sun was costing him a lot of money, because he killed someone in a drunk boating accident. Plus, his crime threatened to put a spotlight on his other misdeeds.

My opinion, he looked at them both as his enemies.

Son ruined his life with the boat accident. Wife ruined his life by hiring a forensic accountant. If not for the two of them, he could have continued his druggie lifestyle longer. He was just plain enraged.

Junkies don’t ever think too far beyond getting high the next time.
