There are brochures of Ponte Point, when new, showing children playing on large expanses of green grass and families having picnics.
In recent times the tower was filled with trash. They've since tried to renovate and bring back it's glory but it remains unsafe, etc.
In some parts of J-Burg, residents are actually back to hauling water from localized spigots.
So, yeah, what destroyed South Africa and more importantly, what or who, is preventing the people who built it from rebuilding? Because, if allowed, they'd have it in top shape, again, in no time.
