yes and no....shockingly, people here elected a white Mayor...and hes done a decent job considering what he took over. 65% of the city had no street lights...ambulances and police cars were old and broken down. Vacant and burned out houses for block after block. Trash everywhere...but, i give the guy credit, he corrected all that. Recently, Police Chief James Craig retired, and crime is def going back up. While its def not rock bottom, itll never regain the 1 million residents that split over the years. City is 5 times the land size of Boston, with almost the same population. Pockets of the City do ok...but the main streets are still vacant and empty. School system was destroyed years ago...its gotten much better, but again, theres really not much left. Absolute poster child of what democrat policies have done to the cities....
