DeSantis was excellent on his interview with Mark Levin.
Philosophically he is little different than Trump. He does not “shoot from the hip” like Trump whom often shoots himself in the foot. If Trump in the nominee, I will gladly vote for him. I personally want DeSantis. He as Trump loves our nation as founded and both will defend it. Trump is a great choice, but DeSantis is the better choice.
It should be noted that the Media is going after DeSantis like a rabid pit bull. They fear him.
DeSantis is a turncoat.
He is copying Trump. When he first got elected governor, he loved Trump wanted to be just like him. Now he never mentions his name but copies everything he does.
So the question before us when we decide between Trump and DeSantis is, can our guy win?
At this stage of the process each side is pushing out a poll which says that his guy can beat Biden and, if necessary, beat any Democrat. Polls at this stage are entirely worthless.
We conservatives should keep in mind that the electoral landscape is very much to our disadvantage. From the electoral college, to the swell of illegal immigrant voting, to election fraud, to ballot harvesting, to mail-in ballots, to media bias, to Democrat money advantage, to Republican misfeasance beginning with Mitch McConnell and Ronna McDaniel, to ineptness in data mining, to a distinct numerical disadvantage in nongovernment organizations and their foot soldiers, the Republican party faces daunting electoral challenges.
For anyone who doubts that let him explain how we lost the 2020 and the 2022 elections under the the uniquely favorable political realities that obtained at those times. The mere fact that Fetterman and Biden are in office should tell us that we can be right on the issues and wrong at the ballot boxes.
In other words, the whole Republican apparatus is broken and it must be fixed, not from the top down but from the bottom up.
So I return to the initial question, can our guy win? Does it matter whether we pick DeSantis or Trump? How valid is the idea that you cannot have Trump's MAGA policies without Donald Trump? How valid is the proposition that you can have Trump's policies with DeSantis but without Trump's baggage?
More important than the individual chosen as between these two men, is the vital importance of revamping the entire party structure and approach. I was heartened to hear that Donald Trump has advocated just such an approach in the last couple of days.
