My 12 yr old can blaze on a keyboard…but he cant write cursive (sign his name) I flipped out when I realized this. He will soon be able to write cursive but he seems to regard the exercise as being as daunting as I considered learning to type.

I use to stay after school and teach my 7th graders how to write cursive.

I’ve read schools no longer teach cursive. And found that terribly sad. Good for you for making sure your son learns it! I hope it’s not a dying art.

After years of having my penmanship deteriorate I am now doing this and recovering the ability to write beautifully.
