No need to eat tart cherries, allopurinol works perfectly (no attacks in 15 years).

“No need to eat tart cherries, allopurinol works perfectly (no attacks in 15 years).”

steve86 is CORRECT!

Used to have SEVERE disabling gout attacks. Indomethacin to stop the pain (inflammation) clear the joint, then allopurinol to PREVENT almost all gout attacks.

If a particular food aggravates YOUR gout (they are different for everyone) consuming large amounts of such food may trigger a minor gout attack even on allopurinol.

In my case it is Jalapeno peppers which I love.

Indomethacin is the miracle cure for a gout attack.

Allopurinol is the miracle preventer of gout attacks.

With these two drugs, gout will no longer be a problem for you.

What NOT to eat to avoid gout and what TO eat/drink to relieve gout are different for everyone. I tried ALL of them (NONE of them worked) before discovering (by my doctor) Indomethacin and Allopurinol.
