Not really. Immune suppression allows a series of ailements to set in and then ADE provokes an over reaction to infection.
Some of the patient records I read in VAERS talked about a patient 'surviving' a few hours of complex efforts to stabilize their heartbeat, and then being transferred to other departments (stroke ward) but no updated records to show how that patient fared. Heart attacks initially survived are sometimes the first in a series or precede a stroke.
Neurological problems, blood clots - for some people multiple attacks on the body sets in and it's constant rounds of ER visits or specialists which documents a spiral until the patient dies.
With respect, the average number of days for thalidomide to exhibit of severe birth defects was longer than this. As were the numbers of days until the FDA required withdrawal of quite a number of drugs from the marketplace.
I recommend a look at "time on the market" data for some drugs approved and then withdrawn. Some of them took years.
